Turned to Ice
Waves of speak
from bitter tongue
miserably,
he feeds his GOD
HATE be my witness,
forgiveness is none
he’ll never remit this
world into which he’s become
All that’s green,
all that breathes,
all that lives, land or sea,
sacrificed to the freeze, you’re frozen
You’re frozen now,
all turned to ice
there is no sound
in your demise, as the light fades from your eyes
Experience sickness
the world is a fraud
the realm of forgiveness
speaks to the weak and distraught
floating on an ocean of decay
All that’s green,
all that breathes,
all that lives, land or sea,
sacrificed to the freeze, you’re frozen
You’re frozen now,
all turned to ice
there is no sound
in your demise, as the light fades from your eyes
Hate is our god
it will free us
it controls us
it will reign
You’re frozen now,
all turned to ice
there is no sound
in your demise, as the light fades from your eyes
Ocean of Memories
“I am here – floating on an ocean of memories
So real
And I fear it only takes a droplet of malady
To stifle its beautiful life”
Oh desperate eyes keep coming back to here,
Convinced they are bound to this place
Says the fool, as to himself he lies
Says the fool, with time on his side
I can’t but wonder, what is that look in your eyes?
Desperate eyes look around in need of future
“oh where is my beautiful place?
Searching for peace – on an ocean this vast and empty
here, where the only reflection is me”
-says the fool, as to himself he lies
says the fool, as through his grin he cries
and I can’t but wonder, what is that look in your eyes?
…what is that look in your eyes?
Sentiment invokes its own will
it’s evident, when not on its side
Over and over again,
like the madness inside of our broken minds
and I can’t but wonder
what is that look in your eye?
Saturnine
The introduction as it seems
and underworld over your being
desperate and foolishly
letting evil make your meaning
Who can trust, when you’re broken and all is lost?
Saturnine – hide your face to the world and the earth shall crumble. All beware of the mind that’s filled with the bitterness of cold
Where can you run, now that your world is gone, and fate
holds your tongue?
Now I recognize this pain inside,
the days have died and turned to night
We dwell in this light – from Saturn by night
Surrender our minds, we’re saturnine
We’re saturnine
Saturnine
What were you born to but pain?
Now we recognize this pain inside,
the sun has died and left us blind
we dwell in this light, from Saturn divine
surrender our minds, we’re saturnine
We’re saturnine
We’re saturnine, so saturnine
within our minds
Leave me blind, by Saturn’s light
and the earth will crumble
Saturnine,
why?
Delirium
Despite antiquity,
the ancient forum’s broken silence
and its confusing presence
stirs us, in a state of violence
Let it fill the void that plagues all that we do
Intellect’s spawn
speaking in song,
tell of your world so wrong
You are but one,
deeper than some,
in your delirium
Speak like the day is long,
you’ve all the time to earn your highness
and though our utterances
are far below the worth of silence,
They give us quite a stage to disavow what’s true
Vagary’s pawn,
speak like you’re wrong
speak like the day is long –
good things will come
when you are gone
free from delirium
I can’t be bothered to try
and understand what’s inside
this disharmonious mind
and what it’s worth in your eyes
Intellect’s spawn,
speak like you’re wrong
speak like the day is long
good things will come
when you are gone
free from delirium
Vagary’s pawn
tell of your world so wrong,
you are but one
in your delirium
Ghost in the Well
In the fog of a dream
came an apparition
graceful, pale, and discreet
Something’s unresolved here…
By the sound
in a well
you can still hear rising breath
escaping the pale cold and frozen waters
Each demon grins to the sound of its name
Guilt, shame, passion
no one’s to blame
Something’s possessed me to swim in this hail,
was it your mind, or the ghost in the well?
I thought it was done
when the waters stilled,
and the moon took place of the sun
Something’s unresolved here…
and each demon grins to the call of its name:
Guilt, shame, passion,
no one’s to blame
Something’s possessed me to swim in this hail,
was it your mind, or the ghost in the well?
Was it the ghost in the well?
You’re restless and cold,
far from the unknown,
I’ve hollowed eyes,
dead inside.
Help me let go,
I’ve known you before
The strongest minds
will live and die
Each demon grins to the call of its name:
Guilt, shame, passion,
seems no one’s to blame
Something’s possessed me to swim in this hail,
was it your mind, or the ghost in the well?
Chosen
What would happen if
this ship we’re sailing in
crashed to leave us dead,
what could we promise then?
I won’t leave – without you
even though you rot away
Waiting on the worms
decaying flesh they turn
elated in their bite
Climb out
from the well of emotion
hear the sound of the ocean
Cry out
live without being chosen
to the sound of the ocean
I’m stuck in this great dismay,
feel that it’s all in vain
what nature gives, nature takes away
The decaying sun,
dark spreads steadily on
and it drowns the world in pain
Waiting on the worms,
decaying flesh they turn
elated in their bite
Climb out
from the well of emotion
hear the sound of the ocean
Cry out
live without being chosen
to the sound of the ocean
Climb out
from the well, living hell
this is not the great blue sea
Cry out,
live without being chosen
to the sound of the ocean
Edge of Time
I won’t move
like one of you
a floating blade of grass
upon the ocean blue
where an easy corpse is made
under the ocean waves
in a fleeting glimpse of time,
the path inertia guides
Liberate your mind
Can you blame your fate on the world around?
now that you’ve resigned, at the edge of time
as we live within a lie
slave to our design, we leave our will behind
So is it better to
hold conflict before you?
or hold it deep within
and hope the soul will win
We’ve had such different pasts
to hope that it would last
when ever changing is the world,
where does inertia guide you?
Liberate your mind
Can you blame your fate on the world around?
now that you’ve resigned, at the edge of time
as we live within a lie
slave to our design, we leave our will behind
Is this where we want to go?
a hell of all our own, sinking like a stone
as we liberate our minds,
reaching deep inside,
feel the world alive
Far Below
Laid to rest
For the best
while this monster feeds
on death
And I go far below
to the depths where I know that the cold won’t find me
and run from the sun’s light
exposing the sum of the acts beside me
to claim the remains
of the one who once came and stood beside me
To far below
where I’ll go
to let nature know
we’re alone
All the pain
remind me
of who you used to be
This stays
inside me
like blood on my hands
I fall into the vast cold
As I go far below
to the depths where I know that the cold won’t find me
and run from the sun’s
light exposing the sum of the acts beside me
to claim the remains
of the one who once came and stood beside me
All the pain
it reminds me
of who you used to be
The stains
inside me
the blood on my hands
Into the damned, nature’s hand
we all will descend
And I go far below
to the depths where I know that the cold won’t find me
and run from the sun’s light
exposing the sum of the acts beside me
to claim the remains
of the one who once came and stood beside me
And the burden of grace
puts a scar on the face of the man who’s lost thee
and the semblance of pain
burns a hole in the heart of a distant memory
I will claim your remains
from the place of this pain and set you free
The Maze
Far within this haze,
a breath from patient whispers
travels on…
Now tumbling in our maze,
our spirits never after
looked upon…..
What we planted
looked like it’d be strong and fruitful,
fate intervenes
we all were
wrong
As we climb, the branches break,
and the leaves fall down as we make
our awful song..
Another chapter gives
a living to our laughter,
dying to despair…
The ink I write in thins,
I try, in haste, to capture
everything I fear
As I’m thrown through a tumbling haze,
my mind focuses on the things
I cannot solve
Often woeful, and very small,
things that shouldn’t irk me at all,
but won’t resolve
My friends – once scattered
in here – we’re gathered
one maze – no master
come feign disaster!
Far within this maze,
are spirits never after looked upon
and in our awful song,
we leave its ears in boredom,
terrible and long
My friends – once scattered
in here – we’re gathered
one maze – no masters
come feign disaster!
My peers – no laughter
it’s pain we’re after
come feign disaster!
Bleeding On The Horns
The soul seeks its art in places unknown
You search for the pain in the hopeless fit of darkness that unfolds
So I’ll take my pride,
drown it in the red moonlight,
and go back to the sea
Where emptiness will speak to me
Though I know your heart,
and its darkest parts,
in your misery,
you are just like me
Impaled in awe,
bleeding on the horns of loss
all will in vain,
bleeding on the horns of shame
The soul gathers rust,
exposed in the hatred she trusts
your suffering’s real
it’s as real as you want it to feel
So then, take this life
thrust it to a bloody knife
and go down to the grave
That is where the weak will lay
Though I know your heart,
and its darkest parts
in your misery,
you are quite like me
Impaled in awe,
bleeding on the horns of loss
All will in vain,
bleeding on the horns of shame
So I know your heart,
and its darkest parts
in your misery,
you are quite like me
Bleeding on the horns of shame
solace is a distant gaze
you will know your suffering’s name
bleeding on the horns of shame
Burn This Ladder
I rode on a guilty naiveté
waking the worms, below
asleep
They say that it’s solid beneath our feet
but no one digs
this deep
This is a place where death’s buried,
but I can hear you scream
come
Don’t let the rain conceal our speech,
be free to speak to me
I’ll be fine
to make the climb
but there’s no respite
for a broken ladder
As it breaks,
and we climb
and it breaks,
Can you remember how it feels
to see the world above?
It’s dark and it’s cold, but unlike here
there’s trust, somewhere
in love – lost…
I don’t mean to dig,
but do you need a hand?
The words come out real,
but who could understand?
I’ll be fine
to make the climb,
but there’s no respite
for a broken ladder
Out of sight,
out of mind,
shed with time,
the hole grows vaster
And by the last flame,
I’ve changed my mind
to climb to the surface
I wouldn’t dare say
there’s much to find
all that’s real lives below us
In the dirt,
amongst the worms,
who speak to me honestly
Where I watch in naiveté
and I watch as you climb
I’ll be fine
to make the climb
but there’s no respite
till we burn this ladder
Give it time
for peace of mind
there’s no respite
till we burn this ladder down
